Fall is a special season in Colorado, and golfing this time of year is some of the best. The weather is starting to cool, and the twilight rounds are some of the best you can have all season. And the trees’ changing colors are breathtaking, depending on where you are playing in the state.
When we look ahead to this weekend, we need to remember the Rockies season is coming to an end, the Broncos are looking to avoid an 0-4 start, and the Avalanche and Nuggets are about to start their seasons. We might not get to watch the Avs and Nuggets on TV, but that’s OK since you can read about them in The Denver Post. Maybe it’s time to bust out your transistor radio and give the boys a listen this fall.
As for what to do this weekend, I suggest getting in a final round of golf while the weather is in your favor. Coloradans also love heading up to the mountains to go leaf peeping at the fall colors. Some say you have to pick one or the other. I say do both, at the same time.
There are a number of mountain golf courses that are still taking tee times in early fall as the colors change. If you are an avid golfer or someone who just wants to enjoy the view, head on up to the high country and enjoy a truly memorable golfing experience.
