Cheraw couldn’t quite keep up with a strong Kit Carson squad, losing by a score of 61-20 on Thursday, Sept. 26.
Kit Carson quarterback Cordell Farmer led the passing attack with 71 yards through the air. Kit Carson’s leading receiver was Sullivan Farmer, who caught one pass for 48 yards.
Jayden Mccombs-farmer spearheaded the Kit Carson rushing attack by running for 185 yards and five touchdowns in the game, averaging 12.3 yards per carry. Mccombs-farmer also tacked on 42 receiving yards and one touchdown. Paul Mitchek added 123 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, averaging 6.5 yards per carry.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Kit Carson heading to play Cheyenne Wells and Cheraw taking on Granada.
