Standley Lake couldn’t quite keep up with a potent Green Mountain squad, losing by a score of 36-13 on Friday.
Green Mountain quarterback Trey Towndrow led the passing attack with 101 yards through the air. Towndrow also added 167 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. Trey Towndrow’s most prolific target in the ballgame was Austin Peterson, who caught one pass for 44 yards and one score.
In addition to Towndrow’s effort, Jacob Chavez paced the Green Mountain ground attack by racking up 85 yards and one touchdown in the game, averaging 8.5 yards per carry.
Standley Lake’s rushing attack was spearheaded by Kevin Starnes who tallied 75 yards in the contest, averaging 6.8 yards per carry.
Standley Lake will play host to Denver South, while Green Mountain will travel to play Falcon.
