Castle View lost by a single touchdown in a 34-27 game against Legend on Saturday.
Legend quarterback Kalen Shoemaker led the aerial attack with 95 yards through the air. Shoemaker also added one touchdown on the ground. Kalen Shoemaker’s most prolific target in the game was Jackson Warner, who caught three passes for 32 yards.
Legend’s rushing attack was lead by Connor Eise who ran for 138 yards and two touchdowns in the game, averaging 12.5 yards per carry. Blake Rarog added 92 yards and one touchdown on the ground, averaging 7.1 yards per carry.
Johnny Colombi led Castle View’s passing attack with 70 yards through the air, throwing one touchdown and one interception. Colombi also added 46 yards on the ground. Colombi’s most relied on target in the contest was Antonio Ursetta, who caught two passes for 28 yards.
Zane Wodark spearheaded the Castle View ground game by gaining 92 yards in the game, averaging 5.8 yards per carry. Ian Peirce added 89 yards on the ground. Jordan Jackson contributed 59 yards .
Legend will play host to Fountain-Fort Carson, while Castle View will travel to play Valor Christian.
