Overland earned a win when they defeated Fountain-Fort Carson 29-21 on Friday.
Martavia “Mark” Thrower led Overland’s passing attack with 194 yards through the air, tossing two touchdowns and one interception. Thrower’s most prolific receiver in the game was Kamari Brown, who caught seven passes for 60 yards. Brown got in on the action in the passing game as well, grabbing seven balls for 60 yards. Overland also got 50 yards receiving from Jawan Lacour in the contest.
Overland’s ground attack was paced by Smoov Roper (jaheim) who tallied 130 yards and one touchdown in the contest, averaging 10 yards per carry. Roper (jaheim) also tacked on 30 receiving yards.
Overland will play host to Cherry Creek, while Fountain-Fort Carson will travel to play Legend.
Fountain-Fort Carson has not reported any team or player statistics from this contest.
