Mitchell couldn’t quite keep up with a strong Pueblo County squad, losing by a score of 48-14 on Friday.

Pueblo County quarterback Chase Hartman led the passing attack with 58 yards through the air. Hartman also added 57 yards on the ground. Pueblo County’s leading receiver was Corbin Spear, who caught one pass for 28 yards and one score.

Jose Handford lead the Pueblo County ground game by accumulating 192 yards and three touchdowns in the contest, averaging 12 yards per carry. Ethan Mauger added 67 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, averaging 11.2 yards per carry.

Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Pueblo County heading to play Harrison and Mitchell taking on Lutheran.
