Rocky Mountain couldn’t quite keep up with a potent Valor Christian squad, losing by a score of 49-7 on Friday.
Valor Christian quarterback Cole Bott led the passing attack with 72 yards through the air. Rocky Beers lead all Valor Christian receivers with two receptions for 44 yards.
Gavin Sawchuk lead all Valor Christian rushers with 129 yards and two touchdowns in the game, averaging 8.6 yards per carry. Jack Howell added 64 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, averaging 32 yards per carry.
Noah Yancey powered Rocky Mountain’s passing attack with 141 yards through the air, throwing one touchdown and one interception. Yancey’s most relied on target in the ballgame was Peter Krohn, who caught two passes for 79 yards and one score.
Sean Kidd lead the Rocky Mountain rushing attack by running for 90 yards in the game.
Looking ahead to their next games, Valor Christian will play host to Castle View, while Rocky Mountain will travel to play Poudre.
