Our latest NFL power rankings, breaking down team by team.

1. New England (4-0): When a team has outscored its opponents 122-27, nit-picking is required. The Patriots are gaining only 3.2 yards per rush.

Next: at Washington.

2. Kansas City (4-0): has discovered the fountain of NFL Middle Age — a 5.4-yard average on 40 carries and two touchdowns.

Next: vs. Indianapolis.

3. Dallas (3-1): And now comes new offensive coordinator ’s first challenge. The Cowboys scored 35, 31 and 31 points to start, but lost 12-10 at New Orleans.

Next: vs. Green Bay.

4. San Francisco (3-0): The 49ers’ ball control offense (third in time of possession — 32:53 per game) is the best way to combat Cleveland’s offense.

Next: vs. Cleveland (Monday).

5. L.A. Rams (3-1): The Rams’ offense is confusing. They have 97 rushing attempts and 173 passes. No wonder Jared Goff has thrown six interceptions.

Next: at Seattle (Thursday).

6. Green Bay (3-1): The Packers’ only road game in a stretch of seven weeks is Sunday at Dallas. They play seven of their final nine away from Lambeau.

Next: at Dallas.

7. Chicago (3-1): The Bears turn to journeyman quarterback Chase Daniel while Mitch Trubisky nurses a left (non-throwing) shoulder injury. Anybody else think Chicago may be better off in the short term?

Next: vs. Oakland (London).

8. New Orleans (3-1): The Saints are 27th in yards gained and 24th in yards allowed per game. But they’ve found a way to go 2-0 minus .

Next: vs. Tampa Bay.

9. Seattle (3-1): Linebacker Bobby Wagner’s 45 tackles are third in the league.

Next: vs. L.A. Rams (Thursday).

10. Minnesota (2-2): The Vikings rushed 16 times in 58 plays against Chicago and had a long gain of nine yards.

Next: at .

11. Baltimore (2-2): The Ravens’ opening-month story — they can handle the bad teams (Miami/Arizona), but not the better teams (Kansas City/Cleveland).

Next: at Pittsburgh.

12. Buffalo (3-1): Letap see what the Bills have. Lost a close game at home to New England. Have the bye next week. And now play at an up-and-down Titans team.

Next: at Tennessee.

13. Philadelphia (2-2): The Eagles’ thrilling win at Green Bay last Thursday could spring-board them. So will getting to play the Jets.

Next: vs. N.Y. Jets.

14. L.A. Chargers (2-2): Receiver Keenan Allen and running back Austin Ekeler have 58 of the Chargers’ 102 catches; 34 for Allen and 24 for Ekeler.

Next: vs. Broncos.

15. Cleveland (2-2): The Browns rolled up 530 yards in win at Baltimore. They are 0-2 at home and 2-0 on the road.

Next: at San Francisco (Monday).

16. Indianapolis (2-2): Minus Andrew Luck, the Colts aren’t making many big plays in the air — their 6.22-yard average per completion is 27th in the NFL.

Next: at Kansas City.

17. Detroit (2-1-1): The Lions blew leads of 10-0, 13-10, 23-20 and 30-27 against Kansas City. Now they get two weeks to think about it.

Next: Bye.

18. Houston (2-2): A typical Texans loss last week to Carolina, unable to build momentum after a road win (Chargers).

Next: vs. Atlanta.

19. Jacksonville (2-2): Quarterback Gardner Minshew was impressive in win over the Broncos, overcoming being sacked five times to play turnover-free.

Next: at Carolina.

20. Tampa Bay (2-2): News — The Buccaneers won 55-40 at the Rams. View — Exhibit No. 423,204 why we don’t bet on pro football.

Next: at New Orleans.

21. Carolina (2-2): Running back leads the NFL in rushes (86, a dozen more than any other player) and yards (411, one more than Minnesota’s Dalvin Cook).

Next: vs. Jacksonville.

22. Tennessee (2-2): If the Broncos think Leonard Fournette is a load, wait until they face the Titans’ Derrick Henry next week at Mile High.

Next: vs. Buffalo.

23. Oakland (2-2): Linebacker Vontaze Burfictap season-long suspension for dirty play is unprecedented and justified.

Next: vs. Chicago (London).

24. New York Giants (2-2): Quarterback Daniel Jones threw two interceptions against Washington and won by three touchdowns. A sign of just how bad the Redskins are.

Next: vs. Minnesota.

25. Atlanta (1-3): If coach Dan Quinn isn’t on the hot seat in Atlanta, he should be. An inexcusable home loss to Tennessee on Sunday (24-10).

Next: at Houston.

26. Pittsburgh (1-3): Huge game Sunday for Steelers, who can improve to 2-3 and drop the Ravens to 2-3 with a win.

Next: vs. Baltimore.

27. Broncos (0-4): Winless through four games for the first time in 20 years, the Broncos now must try to be competitive minus their best player (, out with an ACL tear).

Next: at L.A. Chargers.

28. Arizona (0-3-1): Only Miami has a worse red-zone offense than the Cardinals, who have scored touchdowns only 35.7% of their trips.

Next: at Cincinnati.

29. N.Y. Jets (0-3): The Jets’ next four games are at Philadelphia, vs. Dallas, vs. New England and at Jacksonville. Yikes.

Next: at Philadelphia.

30. Cincinnati (0-4): The Bengals are bad and boring. But they will beat Arizona for first win.

Next: vs. Arizona.

31. Washington (0-4): We said it last week and will say it this week — it should be Dwayne Haskins Time.

Next: vs. New England.

32. Miami (0-4): No team needs their bye more than the Dolphins.

Next: Bye.
