Durango easily handled Bayfield by a score of 55-0 on Friday, Sept. 27.
Durango quarterback Jordan Woolverton led the aerial attack with 196 yards through the air, throwing five touchdowns without an interception. Woolverton also added 46 yards on the ground. Jordan Woolverton’s most reliable receiver in the contest was Gage Mestas, who caught three passes for 131 yards and two scores.
Durango’s rushing attack was lead by Everett Howland who racked up 80 yards in the game, averaging 16 yards per carry. Nate Messier added 58 yards and one touchdown on the ground, averaging 8.3 yards per carry.
Cael Schaefer paced the Bayfield rushing attack by running for 22 yards in the contest.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Durango heading to play Pueblo Centennial and Bayfield taking on Alamosa.
