La Veta couldn’t quite keep up with a potent Branson/Kim squad, losing by a score of 70-6 on Friday, Sept. 27 at La Veta High School, Stadium.
Kelton Davis led Branson/Kim’s aerial attack with 44 yards through the air. Davis’ favorite target in the contest was Isaac Provost, who caught three passes for 30 yards and two scores.
Finn Warner paced the Branson/Kim ground attack by running for 144 yards and three touchdowns in the contest, averaging 11.1 yards per carry. Teagan Keeler added 105 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, averaging 10.5 yards per carry.
Looking ahead to their next games, Branson/Kim will play host to Cotopaxi, while La Veta will travel to play Primero.
