Aurora Central couldn’t quite keep up with a potent Golden squad, losing by a score of 47-20 on Thursday at NACC.
Joey Mancuso led Golden’s aerial attack with 237 yards through the air, tossing four touchdowns without an interception. Mancuso also added 47 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Golden’s leading receiver was Dylan Maddox, who caught two passes for 65 yards and one score. Kevin Mulligan contributed in the passing game as well, hauling in three balls for 58 yards and one touchdown.
In addition to Mancuso’s effort, Dejour Dubois paced the Golden ground game by racking up 27 yards in the contest, averaging 4.5 yards per carry.
Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Golden hosting Grand Junction and Aurora Central taking on Gateway.
