Highland narrowly lost to Holyoke in a 24-21 contest on Friday, Sept. 27.
Miles Sprague led Holyoke’s passing attack with 65 yards through the air. Seth Watson lead all Holyoke receivers with two catches for 27 yards.
Holyoke’s rushing game was paced by Blake Mosenteen who ran for 91 yards and one touchdown in the game, averaging 6.1 yards per carry. Watson added 53 yards and one touchdown on the ground, averaging 10.6 yards per carry.
Highland quarterback Sam Hnizdil led the passing attack with 60 yards through the air, tossing two touchdowns and two interceptions. Hnizdil also added one touchdown on the ground. Highland’s leading receiver was Colton Pettit, who caught two passes for 17 yards.
Highland’s rushing game was spearheaded by Holden Morgan who ran for 80 yards in the game.
Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Holyoke hosting Yuma and Highland taking on The Pinnacle.
