Horizon couldn’t quite keep up with a potent Regis Jesuit squad, losing by a score of 34-13 on Thursday, Sept. 26.
Nicco Marchiol powered Regis Jesuit’s passing attack with 230 yards through the air, tossing two touchdowns with no interceptions. Marchiol also added one touchdown on the ground. Regis Jesuit’s leading receiver was Bryce Sloan, who caught six passes for 84 yards and one score. Jackson Connelly got involved in the passing game as well, catching four passes for 52 yards.
Regis Jesuit’s ground attack was paced by David Dody who accrued 102 yards in the contest, averaging 8.5 yards per carry. Dody also tacked on 41 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Looking ahead to their next games, Regis Jesuit will play host to Chaparral, while Horizon will travel to play Fossil Ridge.
