Kit Carson easily put away Cheraw by a score of 61-20 on Thursday, Sept. 26.
Cordell Farmer led Kit Carson’s passing attack with 71 yards through the air. Sullivan Farmer lead all Kit Carson receivers with one catch for 48 yards.
Jayden Mccombs-farmer paced the Kit Carson rushing attack by racking up 185 yards and five touchdowns in the contest, averaging 12.3 yards per carry. Mccombs-farmer also tacked on 42 receiving yards and one touchdown. Paul Mitchek added 123 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, averaging 6.5 yards per carry.
Cheraw quarterback Trey Pearce led the passing attack with 97 yards through the air. Jacob Groves lead all Cheraw receivers with two catches for 41 yards.
Braeden Harris spearheaded the Cheraw ground game by gaining 29 yards in the contest, averaging 9.7 yards per carry.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Kit Carson heading to play Cheyenne Wells and Cheraw taking on Granada.
