Castle View lost by a single touchdown in a 34-27 game against Legend on Saturday, Sept. 28 at EchoPark Stadium (Parker, CO).
Legend quarterback Kalen Shoemaker led the passing attack with 95 yards through the air. Shoemaker also added one touchdown on the ground. Legend’s leading receiver was Jackson Warner, who caught three passes for 32 yards.
Connor Eise paced the Legend ground game by racking up 138 yards and two touchdowns in the game, averaging 12.5 yards per carry. Blake Rarog added 92 yards and one touchdown on the ground, averaging 7.1 yards per carry.
Castle View quarterback Johnny Colombi led the passing attack with 70 yards through the air, throwing one touchdown and one interception. Colombi also added 46 yards on the ground. Johnny Colombi’s most prolific receiver in the game was Antonio Ursetta, who caught two passes for 28 yards.
Zane Wodark paced all Castle View rushers with 92 yards in the game, averaging 5.8 yards per carry. Ian Peirce added 89 yards on the ground. Jordan Jackson added 59 yards .
Legend will play host to Fountain-Fort Carson, while Castle View will travel to play Valor Christian.
