Haxtun couldn’t quite keep up with a strong Merino squad, losing by a score of 39-0 on Friday, Sept. 27.
Ike Andersen lead the Haxtun rushing attack by racking up 57 yards in the contest. Michael Gerk added 54 yards on the ground, averaging 9 yards per carry.
In their next games, Merino will stay home and play Akron, while Haxtun will travel to play Sedgwick County.
