Zuni narrowly lost to Montezuma-Cortez in a 28-26 contest on Friday, Sept. 27.
Ty Blackmer led Montezuma-Cortez’s passing attack with 159 yards through the air, throwing one touchdown and five interceptions. Vallentino Rodriguez lead all Montezuma-Cortez receivers with two receptions for 58 yards.
Montezuma-Cortez’s ground game was lead by Jacob Schuster who racked up 179 yards and three touchdowns in the contest, averaging 12.8 yards per carry.
