Palmer couldn’t quite keep up with a potent Coronado squad, losing by a score of 47-26 on Friday, Sept. 27.

Carlos Moreno led Palmer’s passing attack with 295 yards through the air. Jaiveon Kendrick was also Palmer’s leading receiver on the day. Jesse Saiz got in on the action in the passing game as well, hauling in six passes for 63 yards and one touchdown.

Kendrick paced the Palmer rushing attack by running for 48 yards in the contest, averaging 5.3 yards per carry. Kendrick also tacked on 185 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Coronado hosting Grand Junction Central and Palmer taking on Air Academy.

Coronado has not reported any team or player statistics from this contest.
