Glenwood Springs couldn’t quite keep up with a strong Rifle squad, losing by a score of 34-7 on Friday, Sept. 27.

Holden Stutsman led Rifle’s aerial attack with 61 yards through the air, tossing two touchdowns with no interceptions. Stutsman also added 58 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Talon Cordova lead all Rifle receivers with one catch for 30 yards and one score.

Rifle’s ground game was lead by Levi Warfel who racked up 166 yards and one touchdown in the contest, averaging 7.2 yards per carry. Warfel also tacked on 27 receiving yards and one touchdown. Kenny Tlaxcala added 83 yards on the ground, averaging 5.9 yards per carry.

Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Rifle hosting Coal Ridge and Glenwood Springs taking on Roosevelt.
