Chaparral couldn’t quite keep up with a strong Regis Jesuit squad, losing by a score of 40-7 on Friday, Oct. 4.
Nicco Marchiol led Regis Jesuit’s passing attack with 233 yards through the air, tossing four touchdowns without an interception. Regis Jesuit’s leading receiver was Ty Mcguire, who caught eight passes for 124 yards and two scores. Bryce Sloan contributed in the passing game as well, hauling in three passes for 56 yards and one touchdown.
Regis Jesuit’s ground attack was paced by David Dody who ran for 77 yards and one touchdown in the game, averaging 7 yards per carry. Dody also tacked on one receiving touchdown.
Kylan Wilson led Chaparral’s passing attack with 53 yards through the air. Wilson also added 42 yards on the ground. Josh Covak lead all Chaparral receivers with six receptions for 40 yards.
Christien Manning paced the Chaparral rushing attack by accumulating 49 yards in the contest, averaging 8.2 yards per carry.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Regis Jesuit heading to play Legend and Chaparral taking on Doherty.
