Cherry Creek easily handled Overland by a score of 44-0 on Friday, Oct. 4.

Julian Hammond iii led Cherry Creek’s passing attack with 247 yards through the air, throwing five touchdowns and one interception. Dante Orlando got involved in the passing game as well, catching two passes for 61 yards and one touchdown.

Jayle Stacks lead the Cherry Creek ground game by accumulating 34 yards and one touchdown in the game, averaging 11.3 yards per carry. Stacks also tacked on 106 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Overland’s rushing game was lead by Stephone Smiley who ran for 57 yards in the contest, averaging 5.7 yards per carry.

Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Cherry Creek heading to play Arapahoe and Overland taking on Eaglecrest.
