Doherty easily put away Douglas County by a score of 34-13 on Friday, Oct. 4.
Brody Gish led Doherty’s passing attack with 59 yards through the air. Gish also added 124 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Gish’s most reliable receiver in the game was Thijs Derubis, who caught one pass for 28 yards.
Daymond Hill spearheaded the Doherty rushing attack by gaining 233 yards and two touchdowns in the contest, averaging 6.7 yards per carry.
Doherty will stay home and play Chaparral, while Douglas County will travel to play Fountain-Fort Carson.
