Walsh couldn’t quite keep up with a strong Eads squad, losing by a score of 60-28 on Friday, Oct. 4.
Damien Barnes led Eads’ passing attack with 90 yards through the air, tossing two touchdowns and one interception. Barnes also added 249 yards and four touchdowns on the ground. Ty Wilson lead all Eads receivers with one catch for 40 yards and one score.
In addition to Barnes’ effort, Angel Medina paced the Eads rushing attack by finishing with 94 yards and two touchdowns in the game, averaging 10.4 yards per carry. Medina also tacked on 30 receiving yards and one touchdown. Donte Sierra added 67 yards and one touchdown, averaging 33.5 yards per carry.
Eads will stay home and play Cheyenne Wells, while Walsh will travel to play Kit Carson.
