Riverdale Ridge couldn’t quite keep up with a strong Englewood squad, losing by a score of 49-28 on Friday, Oct. 4.

Mason Robertson led Englewood’s passing attack with 136 yards through the air, tossing three touchdowns and one interception. Robertson’s most prolific target in the game was Nate Gravagno, who caught five passes for 98 yards and two scores. Milo Fernandez got in on the action in the passing game as well, reeling in three passes for 55 yards and one touchdown.

Yakez Daughtry lead the Englewood rushing game by running for 193 yards and one touchdown in the game, averaging 7.4 yards per carry.

Aidan Burns led Riverdale Ridge’s passing attack with 227 yards through the air, throwing one touchdown and one interception. Burns also added one rushing touchdown. Jalen Fisher lead all Riverdale Ridge receivers with two receptions for 74 yards and one score. Cayden Mazurek got in on the action in the passing game as well, reeling in two balls for 59 yards.

Braylon Fenderson paced the Riverdale Ridge rushing attack by running for 66 yards and one touchdown in the contest, averaging 6 yards per carry. James Bell added 56 yards on the ground, averaging 7 yards per carry.

Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Englewood heading to play Kent Denver and Riverdale Ridge taking on Bishop Machebeuf.
