Firefighters on Thursday night rescued two Chihuahuas from a house fire in Littleton.
A chilly night for our crews out on an attic fire in the 11000 block of west Saratoga Place. Two people were home- smoke alarms alerted them to the fire. Firefighters rescued two Chihuahuas from inside. There were no injuries. 1/2

The fire broke out in the 11000 block of West Saratoga Place, according to West Metro Fire Rescue. Firefighters fought the attic fire in temperatures in the teens.
Two people were home when the fire broke out. They were alerted by a fire alarm inside the residence. No one was injured. The fire most likely spread from a fireplace into the attic, firefighters said.
Residents should make sure that fireplace flues and chimneys are in proper working order before lighting fires.
