Longmont earned a win when they beat Silver Creek 14-10 on Friday, Oct. 4.
Keegan Patterson powered Longmont’s passing attack with 183 yards through the air. Patterson also added 136 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Longmont’s leading receiver was Sage Yazzie, who caught eight passes for 61 yards. Caleb Johnson got in on the action in the passing game as well, snagging seven balls for 50 yards.
In addition to Patterson’s effort, Justice Lillie paced the Longmont ground attack by finishing with 16 yards in the game, averaging 5.3 yards per carry.
Silver Creek quarterback Carter Closson led the passing attack with 210 yards through the air, throwing one touchdown with no interceptions. Silver Creek’s leading receiver was Cole Riters, who caught 13 passes for 175 yards and one score.
Alex Estrada spearheaded the Silver Creek rushing attack by finishing with 85 yards in the contest, averaging 5.3 yards per carry.
Longmont will play host to Greeley West, while Silver Creek will travel to play Skyline.
