Primero defeated La Veta by a score of 39-28 on Friday, Oct. 4.
Gage Eddleman powered La Veta’s passing attack with 62 yards through the air. Eddleman also added 65 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Nathaniel Holguin lead all La Veta receivers with two receptions for 28 yards.
Gabriel Vigil lead all La Veta rushers with 70 yards and one touchdown in the contest, averaging 10 yards per carry.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Primero heading to play Branson/Kim and La Veta taking on Cripple Creek-Victor.
