Mesa Ridge easily defeated Palmer by a score of 48-13 on Friday, Oct. 11 at Garry Berry, Stadium.
Kyle Gaster led Mesa Ridge’s aerial attack with 112 yards through the air, throwing one touchdown and one interception. Gaster also added 104 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Andres Esquivel lead all Mesa Ridge receivers with one reception for 58 yards and one score.
Mesa Ridge was lead by Arthur Campbell and his 79 yards in the game, averaging 11.3 yards per carry. Niko Allgood contributed 61 yards , averaging 15.2 yards per carry.
Palmer quarterback Carlos Moreno led the passing attack with 181 yards through the air. Evan Arrowsmith lead all Palmer receivers with three catches for 86 yards. Jesse Saiz contributed in the passing game as well, catching three passes for 57 yards.
Palmer’s ground attack was paced by Jaiveon Kendrick who racked up 37 yards in the game, averaging 4.6 yards per carry. Kendrick also tacked on 38 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Mesa Ridge heading to play Pine Creek and Palmer taking on Grand Junction Central.
