Smoky Hill easily handled Denver East by a score of 49-26 on Friday at Stutler Bowl.
Leslie Richardson III led Smoky Hill’s passing attack with 116 yards through the air, tossing two touchdowns and one interception. Richardson III also added 44 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Alec Pinkowski lead all Smoky Hill receivers with four receptions for 73 yards and one score.
Smoky Hill’s ground attack was spearheaded by Obasanjo Sanni who accrued 172 yards and two touchdowns in the game, averaging 5.9 yards per carry.
Denver East quarterback Dylan Wigglesworth led the passing attack with 135 yards through the air, throwing two touchdowns and one interception. Dylan Wigglesworth’s most relied on target in the contest was Isaiah Davis, who caught three passes for 48 yards.
Jay Barry lead the Denver East rushing attack by accumulating 25 yards in the contest, averaging 6.2 yards per carry.
Denver East will play host to Far Northeast Warriors, while Smoky Hill will travel to play Adams City.
