Manitou Springs couldn’t quite keep up with a strong The Classical Academy squad, losing by a score of 55-0 on Friday, Oct. 11.
Sam Guilez led The Classical Academy’s passing attack with 159 yards through the air, throwing two touchdowns without an interception. Guilez’s favorite target in the ballgame was Garrett Kautz, who caught three passes for 106 yards and one score.
Cade Palmer paced The Classical Academy rushing game by running for 155 yards in the game, averaging 10.3 yards per carry. Ethan Aragundi added 54 yards on the ground, averaging 13.5 yards per carry.
Next up for each team, The Classical Academy will play host to Elizabeth, while Manitou Springs will travel to play Woodland Park.
