Woodland Park couldn’t quite keep up with a strong Lamar squad, losing by a score of 56-19 on Friday, Oct. 11.

Lamar quarterback Zane Rankin led the passing attack with 252 yards through the air, tossing four touchdowns without an interception. Blake Buxton lead all Lamar receivers with seven catches for 137 yards and two scores.

Walker Kee spearheaded the Lamar ground game by gaining 59 yards and one touchdown in the contest, averaging 11.8 yards per carry. Kee also tacked on 114 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Woodland Park quarterback Colin Kucera led the passing attack with 230 yards through the air, throwing three touchdowns and four interceptions. Bryson Cox lead all Woodland Park receivers with four receptions for 128 yards and three scores. Tyler Baldus got in on the action in the passing game as well, snagging five passes for 86 yards.

Matias Lopez paced all Woodland Park rushers with 42 yards in the contest, averaging 6 yards per carry.

Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Lamar hosting La Junta and Woodland Park taking on Manitou Springs.
