Eads couldn’t quite keep up with a strong Cheyenne Wells squad, losing by a score of 73-32 on Saturday, Oct. 12 at Eads High School, Football Field.
Damien Barnes powered Eads’ passing attack with 75 yards through the air, tossing one touchdown without an interception. Barnes also added 233 yards and four touchdowns on the ground. Barnes’ most prolific target in the game was Hatch Nelson, who caught one pass for 50 yards and one score.
In addition to Barnes’ effort, Donte Sierra lead the Eads ground game by finishing with 4 yards in the contest.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Cheyenne Wells heading to play Cheraw and Eads taking on Hanover.
