Grand Junction Central handed Vista Ridge their first loss in a close 27-24 victory on Saturday, Oct. 12.

Jagger Wade led Grand Junction Central’s passing attack with 90 yards through the air. Grand Junction Central’s leading receiver was Elijah Romero, who caught three passes for 53 yards and one score.

Patrick Courtney lead all Grand Junction Central rushers with 52 yards in the game.

Brayden Dorman led Vista Ridge’s passing attack with 182 yards through the air, tossing one touchdown and one interception. Jayden Linta lead all Vista Ridge receivers with six receptions for 85 yards and one score.

Kayon Lacy paced the Vista Ridge rushing attack by accumulating 89 yards and two touchdowns in the contest, averaging 5.9 yards per carry.

Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Grand Junction Central hosting Palmer and Vista Ridge taking on Cheyenne Mountain.
