Sangre de Cristo couldn’t quite keep up with a strong Sargent squad, losing by a score of 54-14 on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 7-Mile Border War.
Kage Pepper led Sargent’s passing attack with 75 yards through the air. Pepper also added 58 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
Wyatt Cross paced all Sargent rushers with 105 yards in the game, averaging 8.1 yards per carry. Payton Brown added 91 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, averaging 18.2 yards per carry. Blake Behil chipped in with 87 yards , averaging 12.4 yards per carry, in addition to 55 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Sangre de Cristo will stay home and play Hoehne, while Sargent will travel to play Dove Creek.
