Gilpin County couldn’t quite keep up with a potent Vail Christian squad, losing by a score of 46-22 on Thursday, Oct. 17.
Jamison Lee led Vail Christian’s passing attack with 140 yards through the air. Lee also added 44 yards on the ground. Lee’s favorite receiver in the contest was Hayden Sticksel, who caught two passes for 102 yards and two scores.
Chris Cappel lead the Vail Christian ground attack by running for 81 yards and two touchdowns in the contest, averaging 16.2 yards per carry.
Looking ahead to their next games, Gilpin County will play host to Rangely, while Vail Christian will travel to play Plateau Valley.
