Hours after blitzing the Jets into submission and extending their record to 7-0 on the season, the Patriots on Tuesday morning have addressed an issue many saw as a glaring weakness.

According to multiple reports Tuesday morning and first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Patriots have acquired from the for a second-round pick on 2020.

Sanu played college football at Rutgers with the McCourty brothers and wit defensive coach Steve Belichick.

He has 33 catches for 313 yards and one touchdown this year for the struggling Falcons, who are now just 1-6 on the season, making them clear sellers before next Tuesday’s trade deadline.

In the Patriots’ win Monday, led Patriots receivers with seven catches for 59 yards as Brady failed to reach the 300-yard plateau while throwing for just one touchdown. Edelman and Philip Dorsett played through lingering injuries, and didn’t play.

The Patriots have also been short at the tight end position this season after the retirement of tight end , and have seen the saga of play out while the receiver played just one game.
