A woman died in a three-vehicle crash in Denver on Thursday afternoon, according to police.
The crash happened at East First Avenue and Colorado Boulevard, police said.
Southbound lanes and two northbound lanes were closed by the crash. Police asked drivers to avoid the area if possible.
UPDATE: Upon further investigation, it was learned that this traffic crash involved 3 vehicles. One adult female victim has been pronounced deceased, another person was transported with serious injuries. Road closures still in place.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and another person was taken to a hospital, police said.
An investigation is ongoing.
