Center couldn’t quite keep up with a potent Monte Vista squad, losing by a score of 34-6 on Friday, Oct. 25 at Monte Vista High School, Stadium.

Kaidon Wenta led Monte Vista’s passing attack with 54 yards through the air. Wenta also added 209 yards and five touchdowns on the ground. Wenta’s most relied on target in the contest was Jarren Chavez, who caught two passes for 54 yards.

In addition to Wenta’s effort, Levi Trujillo paced the Monte Vista ground game by racking up 50 yards in the contest.

Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Monte Vista hosting Buena Vista and Center taking on Dolores.
