
Del Norte couldn’t quite keep up with a strong Sargent squad, losing by a score of 47-0 on Friday, Oct. 25 at Homecoming Siren Game.
Sargent quarterback Kage Pepper led the passing attack with 141 yards through the air. Pepper also added 99 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Sargent’s leading receiver was Blake Behil, who caught three passes for 92 yards and one score.
Sargent’s rushing game was lead by Payton Brown and his 97 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries. Wyatt Cross chipped in with 96 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 6.9 yards per carry.
Fletcher Madrid paced all Del Norte rushers with 90 yards in the contest, averaging 4.3 yards per carry. Marcos Romero added 70 yards on the ground, averaging 5 yards per carry.
Del Norte will stay home and play Sangre de Cristo, while Sargent will travel to play Sanford.
