Basalt handed Aspen their first loss in a close 17-14 victory on Friday.
Matty Gillis led Basalt’s aerial attack with 108 yards through the air. Gillis also added one rushing touchdown. Jackson Rappaport lead all Basalt receivers with five catches for 96 yards and one score.
Basalt’s rushing game was spearheaded by Cole Dombrowski who ran for 59 yards in the game.
