Prep championship season is here and it’s a great time to watch high school sports

DenverSportsOmelettelogoPrep championship season is upon us here in Colorado and sports fans around the state have games to look forward to watching.

Reliving the glory days of years gone by, spending time with family, or taking young players to watch the high schoolers compete is something special for all involved.

Football playoffs are in full swing as 5A, 4A are in action this week in Round 2 action Thursday through Saturday.

Here’s a look at some of the top football games to watch in Week 12 from around the state.

If football isn’t your cup of tea, head on down to the Denver Coliseum and check out the CHSAA state volleyball tournament.

The volleyball tournament runs Thursday through Saturday. The 5A favorite right now is Chaparral, which has won 19 matches in a row.

Boys soccer also finishes its season up this weekend, with championship games taking place on Friday and Saturday.

So get out and enjoy watching some of the prep athletes from around the state. It’s sure to be a fun weekend of games.
