
A scary moment unfolded just before halftime on Friday night between the Celtics and Nuggets when Boston guard Kemba Walker was carted off on a stretcher after lying motionless for several minutes on the court at Pepsi Center.
Walker was transferred to a local hospital with concussion symptoms, the Celtics announced.
Walker ran head-first into the abdomen of teammate Semi Ojeleye and dropped to the floor with about three minutes left in the second quarter. The Nuggets home crowd with a large Boston fan contingent fell silent as Celtics players huddled around Walker. He received a standing ovation inside Pepsi Center when carted off the court.

Walker, 29, entered the night leading Boston in scoring (22.6) in addition to 4.9 rebounds and 4.8 assists. He was scoreless in 12 minutes of play prior to his injury on Friday.
