Five more Colorado ski areas will open this week, bringing the number of open areas to 20 for the Thanksgiving weekend.
Purgatory and Crested Butte will open on Wednesday, with Telluride following on Thursday. Echo Mountain will open on Friday, while Ski Cooper will be open this weekend and the following weekend before moving to daily operations on Dec. 7.
