Denver’s temperature is a far cry from those in the higher altitude areas like the San Luis Valley.
The Colorado State Patrol in Alamosa sent out a tweet at 6:37 a.m. showing a temperature reading of negative 21 degrees.
You know you live in the San Luis Valley when it shows this in your car. Chilly start no doubt but the roads across the Valley look good. May still be some icy spots on the passes. Safe travels and buckle up.
