The calendar may officially say it’s winter, but don’t tell that to Denver’s thermometers.
Temperatures in the metro area are expected to reach the mid-60s Saturday with plenty of sunshine, and the mild weather should continue into Sunday, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
Saturday also marks the Winter Solstice, aka the shortest day of the year. Sunset will be 4:37 p.m.
Aside from the high cloudiness over the region today, it will be warm and quite mild for the first day of winter. Make the most of the shortest day of the year! The mild conditions will continue into Sunday.
