Possible suspect fled scene in red sedan, Denver police say

Denver police are investigating a shooting in the 500 block of North Federal Boulevard that sent a man to the hospital Monday night.

The Denver Police Department first tweeted about an active investigation in the area at 8:36 p.m. The shooting occurred around 5:50 p.m., according to Officer Kurt Barnes.

Police did not encounter a victim or a suspect on the scene.

A male suspect fled in a red sedan before police arrived. A victim, a man, walked into Denver Health hospital after the incident was called in with a gunshot wound.

“Non-life-threatening injuries,” Branes said of the victim’s injury. “Still serious but not life-threatening.”
