Denver and Aurora police are investigating shootings Friday night and early Saturday morning that killed one man and wounded two others, the departments said.
The Denver shooting occurred Friday evening in the 1400 block of Yosemite Street and appears to have started because of an altercation, . One man was pronounced dead, police said, and another man was transported to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Neither was identified.
Shon Medina, 34, was arrested in connection with the shooting, . Anyone with additional information is asked to call authorities at 720-913-7867.
In , police said a man awoke to strangers inside his apartment in the 2100 block of South Rifle Way. During a struggle, a man suffered “multiple gunshot wounds,” according to a news release. The shooting happened about 2:30 a.m.
The man was hospitalized, and the Aurora Police Department said in an update Saturday afternoon that he was listed in critical but stable condition.
