Lila Dere lead Fruita Monument with 21 points scored while also recording three rebounds and one assist. Callie Allen and Bailey Rigsby also had productive games contributing 13 points and nine points, respectively.
Grand Junction was lead in scoring by Faith Buckley who put up 14 points, while also collecting 13 rebounds and one assist. Malia Yang had a notable night, recording seven points, two rebounds and two assists.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Fruita Monument heading to play Durango and Grand Junction taking on Palisade.
