The Cherokee Trail Cougars easily defeated the Overland Trailblazers by a score of 79-45 on Friday.
Cherokee Trail was lead in scoring by Makayla Hemingway who put up 23 points while also collecting seven rebounds and four assists. Mia Collins aided the effort by contributing 18 points and two rebounds.
Overland was paced in scoring by Amaya Charles who put up 18 points while grabbing two rebounds. Anjanee Prescott recorded a double-double, scoring 10 points and collecting 17 rebounds.
Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Cherokee Trail hosting Mullen and Overland taking on Grandview.
