The Salida Spartans easily defeated the Trinidad Miners by a score of 60-20 on Saturday.
Salida was paced in scoring by Leif Gislason who scored 15 points while also collecting 16 rebounds and three assists. Jonah Ellis had a solid night, recording 14 points, eight rebounds and five assists.
Trinidad was lead in scoring by Joe Ross who scored six points while collecting one rebounds. William Cervantes helped by contributing five points.
In their next games, Trinidad will stay home and play Lamar, while Salida will travel to play Manitou Springs.
